PrimalMerge 2009 Features
You have several copies of a file named Index.html scattered across your hard disk and across several servers. What is the difference
between the one located in \\localdrive\websites\MySite\test and the one located at \\Server\websites\MySite\site? Maybe the size is just a few
bytes off? You don't really want to open two instances of notepad and scroll through those files and try to find the difference like that, do you?
That is where SAPIEN's PrimalMerge 2009 comes in. Take a look at some of what PrimalMerge can do for you. You can click on most thumbnail images for

Core Features |
 |
- Compare individual files
With PrimalMerge 2009, it is easy to compare the contents of individual files. Differences between the
file contents are highlighted in the color of your choice. The currently selected difference is also highlighted in a user
configurable color so that you can easily see where you are currently working. Navigation buttons and keyboard shortcuts
simplify moving from one difference to another, either forwards or backwards. You can also quickly jump to the first or last
difference in the file.
- Compare folders
Need to see how the contents of two folders differ? PrimalMerge 2009 makes the process almost trivial.
Simply use the Open Folders command and tell it what folders you want to compare. Icons and comments clearly indicate if files are
identical, have differences or if they are missing from one of the folders. Double click on a file listing and PrimalMerge will
display the files side-by-side with the differences highlighted.
- Merge, delete, and edit individual differences
Once you know what the differences are, PrimalMerge makes quick work out of merging, deleting or editing
your files. Our fast difference navigation tools take you to the next, previous, first or last difference. Locate the difference and copy
it from either the right or left document. You can even find and merge with a single button click, or accept all the differences
from one side and merge them to the other side with a single button click.
- Syntax Coloring
Of course, PrimalMerge 2009 supports syntax coloring for most major script file types including: PowerShell, VB/VBScript, C/C++/C#,
ASP, HTML, CSS, Java, Pascal, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, SQL, XML and others.
- Integration with PrimalScript
Integration with PrimalScript provides you with an easy
transition between tools. Simply right-click on an open file in PrimalMerge and select the Open with PrimalScript option. Your file
instantly opens in whatever version of PrimalScript you have installed.
